Collaboration is the most effective way to reduce food waste,
but it’s also the most challenging.
We have developed a growing ecosystem of stakeholders and started a value chain dialogue.
We have concluded a global partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) for 3 years and have the potential to create a future partnership with the EU-funded organization REFRESH .
We also conducted 11 Coalition meetings with strong attendance by highly committed members.
“Prevention often requires collaboration and spread costs and benefits across a greater number of stakeholders…there is a need to work on the entirety of the food chain, really from farm to fork, addressing the issue of food waste and sustainable healthy diets at each stage of the process, from agricultural production to transport, from storage to processing, from retailers to restaurants and last but certainly not least to consumers.”
